Teriparatide is a medication used to treat osteoporosis by stimulating bone formation.
Enquire NowTeriparatide injection constitutes a synthetic version of the hormone produced by the parathyroid gland. This injection is given to patients with osteoporosis, Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, and postmenopausal osteoporosis to prevent and treat bone weakening, especially women after menopause and who are prone to bone fractures.
Teriparatide works like a natural hormone in the body, stimulating the formation of new bone tissue, increasing bone strength and thickness. Teriparatide enhances bone strength, lowers the risk of fracture, and accelerates bone healing by stimulating osteoblasts (cells responsible for bone formation). Significant benefits include enhanced quality of life, decreased risk of fractures, and greater bone density.
